Maybe you had a chance to try the THINGS app. This week, I’ll highlight my favorite note taking App. I use Notability. It’s an iPhone app. This one has it all. It integrates with Mac and iPad. The notes are synced across all devices. I can make a shopping list for Lowe’s on my iPad and it will be on my phone by the time I get to the store.
I use it to take notes in conference calls and sales meetings – I use my iPad and an Apple pencil. I can type notes and handwrite on top of it. The best part? Because they sync, I have my notes from the sales meeting on my phone. No paper. I can forward a note in an email. I can group them by categories. I use it to write a journal for my shoulder – I have a rotator cuff tear. I share the daily notes with my PT. It’s super handy. You can copy a note and save it as a PDF so the recipient can’t edit it. I often write this email on Notability – I’ll work on it during the week so I can copy and paste for Monday morning.
In my quest to become paper free, this app was a huge step. Soon, I will eliminate paper in appointments. I’ll create a note for each golf shop that I visit, and I’ll have a long journal type note for each place. It will give me a running log of what we’ve done over the season(s). If I have a “to do” from our meeting – I just copy it to THINGS and give it a reminder. DONE!!
This app literally takes note taking to the next level. Do yourself a favor and try this one!! Notability.
Your work, your way.
